Starting with a simple Ballroom renovation, a series of projects followed over a 12month period between common area refreshes, restaurant renovation, new fitout for a innovation lab and multiple smaller renovation projects.

Digital Realty Trust. Security, security, security. Perfecto Mobile was a tenant for DRL. Working alongside of storage array rooms, data rooms and a myriad of critical electronics, the BIC team had to carefully coordinate all facets of this project.

We have performed retail builds and renovations for T-Mobile’s in: New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. Following the branding ‘line’ and standards of work becomes inherent in our process as we continue to work with repeat customers.

This project is a GREAT example of Build-It Construction’s ability to share SPACE and resources with another construction management firm during the entire fit-up. Similar to the NBT, this space benefited from a decorative ceiling and millwork package. This project was quite unique as we worked in harmony with a competing Union CM, shared vendors (and space) in order to achieve similar end dates between the demised spaces.

  • This project had an aggressive buyout and material procurement deadline.
  • All finishes and fixtures were not ‘off the shelf’ and required expediting shipments to meet a compressed deadline.
  • High End and custom finishes abound provided a unique feel for the finished project.
  • Space was turned over on time for grand opening.

Long term relationships do not re-ignite without maintenance. This project is the third renovation and or expansion for the ALTRAN group in a four year period. Our ability to stay in touch, check in prior to our warranty period ending and keeping lines of communication open led to repeat business. We continue to services these folks with any further questions and technical advice as we maintain the relationship.

Expansion of lab and testing rooms from Boston remote site to Burlington corporate office mixed use site.

  • Surrounding areas were occupied- careful coordination for noise
  • Enclosed space with new wall construction as dust mitigation to avoid added costs and time for temp walls

Truly, a made in America story. The owner of Vecina Beauty Supply, one of New England’s largest distributors of salon and beauty equipment and supplies, started with a single location in Lawrence MA and grew into seven retail stores in a short period of time. BIC worked with the Owner to design and build his headquarters for corporate offices, training and show room spaces. Developing a healthy business to business relationship during the entire process with the intent to last for years.

BIC was fortunate to be brought on board early on in the site selection process with PSI. We collectively examined a few sites and performed rough order of magnitude costing to help determine the best fit building. Throughout the project, we managed LL vs. Owner responsibilities.

  • Rework of HVAC to accommodate new through wall exhaust for hood systems

This project required our team to maintain a high level of teamwork and collaboration. BIC worked in multiple spaces in tandem, while the 700+ staff building was fully occupied. The majority of the work occurred off hours. Careful consideration of employee workstations belongings as well ensuring adequate air circulation from the HVAC System was paramount in the process.

  • All work completed during off hours and Weekends. Replacement of 30 RTUs on Weekends where we landed all 30 RTUs over one weekend.
  • Difficult Access for RTU replacement requiring multiple Cranes for picking.
  • Complete renovation of Break Rooms, Restrooms, Cafeteria, and Mailroom within fully occupied building during off hours.
  • Careful consideration taken working in occupied building during off hours for maintaining organization and cleaning all affected areas before staff returns each morning.

Full Fitout of 21,000 SF within the confines of an occupied CLASS A building requires specific attention to all invasive requests. From coordination of loud and disruptive operations to modifications and testing of life safety systems that affect common spaces. Great lengths of coordination were displayed between Contractor and Owner.
